Who we are

This policy explains how Essetech Pty Ltd (ABN 33 697 426 163), based in Brooklyn Park, South Australia, handles personal information collected through this website and when you contact us. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

If you’re a client, the way we handle data in your own systems is also covered by your service agreement.

What we collect

• When you use a form on this site: your name, email address and phone number, the service you’re interested in and your message. Some forms also ask for your business name and team size.
• When you email or call us: your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
• When you browse this site: usage data through Vercel Web Analytics, such as pages viewed, how you arrived, your device type, browser and country, and clicks on our phone and email links. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you personally.

Please don’t send sensitive information, such as health details, through our forms. You can contact us without giving your full name, though we’ll need a way to reply to you.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, prepare quotes, provide and support our services, keep business records, improve this website and meet our legal obligations.

We don’t sell your personal information. If we ever send you marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time.

We may use AI tools to help us organise enquiries and draft replies. A person decides how we respond, and we don’t use AI to make decisions about you that have a legal or similarly significant effect.

Who we share it with

We use other businesses to run this website and our business, and they handle information on our behalf:

• FormSubmit, which delivers messages from our website forms to our inbox
• Vercel, which hosts this website and provides its analytics
• Google, which provides our email, and Cloudflare, which routes our email and manages our domain
• our email delivery, invoicing and accounting providers, and our professional advisers, where needed

We may also disclose information when the law requires it. Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.

Cookies and other websites

This website doesn’t set its own cookies. Its pages load fonts from Google, so your browser connects to Google’s servers. Some pages embed YouTube videos, and YouTube may set cookies or collect usage data when they load or play. Google’s privacy policy covers that.

We also link to other websites, which have their own privacy practices.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, using the contact details below. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

Complaints

If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
