How we work with clients across Australia
Essetech is based in Adelaide. This page explains what working with us looks like, from the first call to the monthly report, so you know what you're agreeing to before you get in touch.
Who you deal with
I'm Jonathon Battifuoco, the founder. I started Essetech because too many businesses were getting slow support from providers who disappeared when things got tough. I work hands-on with every client, and you deal with me directly.
First call, scoping and a written summary
-
1
We have a look
We spend a free hour on what you run, what keeps breaking and what your team complains about most.
-
2
You get it in writing
A short plain-English summary of what's putting you at risk, what to fix first and what it costs. It's yours to keep whether or not you hire us.
-
3
We take it on
We set up monitoring, close the gaps we found and give your team a number to call. This is usually running inside two weeks.
-
4
We report
You get a monthly note on what we did.
If you're thinking about AI, we start with a free 30-minute briefing instead.
Tools, access and your data
We use a helpdesk system that logs every request, so you can see the status of your tickets at any time. We monitor servers, PCs and Microsoft 365 around the clock, and we act on the alerts.
On the security side, we run endpoint protection on your machines (we use SentinelOne), filter email, patch out of hours and test your backups by restoring from them. In Microsoft 365 we check multi-factor authentication and review who has admin rights, and we remove access that's no longer needed. We document admin accounts and who owns them.
For AI work, we deploy enterprise-grade tools inside your own secured environment, aligned to Australian privacy law. Your data is never used to train public models.
How we stay in touch
Here is how you reach us, and what you can expect from us once you do.
- You can raise a request through the contact form or by phone, and every request is logged.
- Managed IT clients get a monthly report and an optimisation review.
- Fractional IT manager clients get a written plain-English report on security, risks, projects and spend, and we're available between sessions by phone and email.
- We reply to new enquiries within one business day.
- For support requests, we aim to respond within 30 minutes and put anything that stops your team working first.
- Urgent problems after hours get after-hours emergency support, at the after-hours rate.
When we come on site
On-site support is available across the Adelaide metro area, from our base in Brooklyn Park. On-site visits carry a $50 call-out fee, and on-site days under a fractional IT manager agreement in metro Adelaide are included in the day rate.
Most everyday issues can be fixed with a remote session. Jobs that need hands on, such as hardware replacement, network cabling or server work, need someone in the room.
Prices and contract terms
Our prices are published, in Australian dollars, and exclude GST. You’ll find hourly rates, per-user managed IT prices, fractional IT manager packages and AI project starting prices on our pricing page.
There are no lock-in contracts for IT support or managed IT. Our ongoing AI services are month-to-month with no lock-in. We earn your business every month.
An example of the work
Our de-identified network remediation case study shows how we review a small business environment, rank the risks, fix them and leave the client with documentation. The client details are replaced with sample information. Read the case study.
